EQUALITY WITH GOD

Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men (Phil 2:6-7).
"Beware of practicing your piety before men in order to be seen by them; for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven." -- Matthew 6:1
"And when you fast, do not look dismal, like the hypocrites, for they disfigure their faces that their fasting may be seen by men. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, that your fasting may not be seen by men but by your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you." -- Matthew 6:16-18
"Thus, when you give alms, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be praised by men. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. But when you give alms, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your alms may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you." -- Matthew 6:2-4
And being found in human form he humbled himself and became obedient unto death, even death on a cross (Phil 2:8).
"He committed his cause to the LORD; let him deliver him, let him rescue him, for he delights in him!" -- Psalm 22:8
I can count all my bones -- they stare and gloat over me; they divide my garments among them, and for my raiment they cast lots. -- Psalm 22:17-18
Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Phil 2:9-11).
If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. -- 1 Peter 4:14
